Celebrate The Joys

I have one more fall, Thanksgiving themed card to share with you this month.
Fall is my favourite time of year and so is Thanksgiving.

I am thankful for my family and friends, and I am grateful for the things I have accomplished and the challenges I have survived. This week's card is more of a simple layout then I usually do. I love this sentiment and I wanted to find a way to use it to have it be the focal point of my card along with a horn of plenty with lots of fresh produce in it.

I cut my stitched oval circle and then using my Misti, stamped the sentiment. I cut a scallop oval to put behind it. After colouring my stamps with alcohol markers I hand fussy cut them. I added my stamps to patterned paper from Simple Stories and Carta Bella. Some twine and gumdrops finish off my card.

Milton's Fall Harvest!

Howdy High Hopes Fans!
I'm stopping in today to share this adorable Fall card from High Hopes Stamps called "Milton's Fall Harvest". Milton just brings back memories of apple picking with my Grandparents!
My design is fairly simple...... I stamped and used a stitched rectangle die to cut out Milton. Using my Copic markers I coloured Milton in. Then I cut a square and using my paper cutter, cut it in half diagonally. Then I just backed all my patterned paper with some matching cardstock, and assembled my card. Some ribbon and an apple brad finishes it off!
On the inside I used the High Hopes sentiment called "If Friends Were Apples".
Copics Used:
E30, E31, E33, E35, E37, E39
R35, R37
YG06, YG91, YG93, YG97, YG99
W1, W3, W5

Happy stamping!
P.S. Thanks Donna for the stamp!! ;)

Poultry In Motion

Our friend Tom the turkey heard that Thanksgiving is coming soon and for some odd reason he has decided not to stay for dinner! This stamp just cracks me up!

This week's card features Turkey Getaway and the Poultry In Motion sentiment from High Hopes.  I made him into a slider card.......I mean he does seem to be in a hurry to get out of town after all!

After giggling through colouring my stamp I hand fussy cut him out and set him aside. I cut out the "sky" using a stitching and piercing mark circle die and added some die cut clouds. Next I used my slider die to cut out "Tom's" getaway path.
I added a fence behind my sky, and added all of this to paper from Echo Park. Some ribbon, a couple arrows and some gumdrops finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamps: Turkey Getaway - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Poultry In Motion- High Hopes Rubber Stamps

Willy One Eye and Spider Web Background

Howdy -  MichelleO here today and I am using one of the older Halloween images. This guy and I have a special bond.... This is "Willy One Eye"

I don't make a lot of Halloween cards - but Willy One Eye just cracked me up when I saw him years ago. Still makes me laugh every time I look at him.  I colored with my copics and then stamped out the sentiment that I love with him. For my background I just knew I wanted to use the brand new High Hopes Stamp "Spider Web Background" wonderful large background stamp. I stamped it directly onto the dark purple card stock with Memento White ink. Love how that white ink works on dark card stock so vibrant! I matted on a piece of Coredinations fiber paper.. fuzzy like paper that is fun to use. I sewed down the layers and used black card stock for the base. A few Enamel Dots just added a little more fun matching up with that bright green paper.

My Copic colors used -

There are so many fall halloween images to play with at High Hopes Stamps - Take a few minutes and pop over HERE and see for yourself... LOL a few minutes...

Thanks so much!

Boo-tiful day

Happy Sunday!

With a busy daycare at home, I don't have much time to create cards during daytime.
So when I made my card in the evening I had a funny idea ;)
I've bought myself a few new Copics and I was playing to create a landscape scene..
But with this month being a Halloween/Fall theme, I new I had to make it a bit scarier..

I inked up the Bat (you can use more than 2 if you like) and placed them on my card.
I knew there is a "Boo-tiful" stamp, but I wanted to have the BOO part popped out..
Together with some green googly eyes.. But you can use just the sentiment if you like..

I used WOW glow-in-the-dark embossing powder to create the stars in the background. It's so fun when they light up in the dark!! I am going to use that a lot I think, hahaha!!

Now it's your turn to create something with a Halloween or Fall theme! Join our challenge to have a chance of winning 2 free stamps!!!

Half The Fun

With fall comes different responsibilities around the farm. As kids, we often tried to find fun ways to get our responsibilities done - this stamp reminds me of that. I mean what is more fun then a "hay ride" to take a chicken back to it's coop?!? We didn't necessarily always think things through  ......but boy did we have fun getting our work done!

After colouring my stamp with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, I cut it out using a stitched rectangle die. I think the paper from Simple Stories has a country feel to it - perfect for my card. Some twine, punched maple leaves and my fav - gumdrops finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamps: Hay Ride - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Half The Fun - High Hopes Rubber Stamps

Happy fall

Happy Sunday!

I had a real (long) fun time to colour up this new Fall Tree! Each leave is coloured individually for the best result ;) So it is kind of a relax-colour-therapy, whahaha..
In the front I've placed the Chubby Pumpkins for more Fall feeling.. Behind the pumpkins I used a large fence die (Marianne Design) and with alphabet mini dies I've created the happy fall sentiment. Dessinpapers are from my stash..

The yellow background was a new thing to do, but I really like the way it turned out!! I wanted to create a fall feeling and I think I got the colours right (maybe if I'd had other yellow Copics it would be better)..
I used these colours for my background:

Have A Blessed Season!

Happy Labor Day
 High Hopes Friends!

I'm really excited to share my cards with you today. I have used a few of my favorite Autumn stamps from High Hopes Stamps to created this set of cards.

For this card I am using "Tom's Plea".
I stamped it with Versamark and heat emboss. To coloured my image I used Tim Holtz distress inks. The pattern paper is from my stash. I'm using Lawn fawn rectangle dies.

For my second card I used "Chubby Pumpkins" and "Bold Have A Blessed Season" I stamped the sentiment with brown ink and then heat emboss it. I coloured my pumpkins with alcohol markers. LOVE to used my gel pen on my color images. To embellishes this card I used P.P.P sequins and clear ringtones. Pop my images with foam tape and they're done!

Here's a side view!
Look at all the layers and details.
