Sharing Willow...a little bit of a princess!

Hello everyone,

I'm Lora the owner of High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  I wanted to pop in today to share Willow with you that my 15 year old daughter Emilee coloured.  Since we haven't graduated to allowing her to blog or Facebook yet I had to do this on her behalf.

Emilee took a class with Karen Day at OCS a couple of months ago which focused on Fabrics, Pleats & Folds using Copic.  Now I have to say that my daughter already has quite the knack for art mostly because she loves it so much and always has since she was just a wee one.

Karen taught all the students to stamp your image on a piece of copy paper first using it as a color map.  Decide where your light source would be and use a pencil to shade the image on the copy paper.  This way you can correct any mistakes or make any other adjustments you want before you color your good image.  You can also keep your color map for future reference with your rubber stamp just so you can refresh your memory on the shading.

So this is what Emilee came up with...first the color map & then the actual colored image.

Emilee can be quite the typical teenager at times and want to go onto the next thing to color before she finishes and makes her card from the 1st one.  So given that I helped her get the card done up so we could post her work for you all to see.

Thanks for popping in to view Emilee's work and we hope to see you back visiting all the HH DT as they share daily inspiration for you.

Have a wonderful day!
