Happy Saturday Friends!  For a beary cute birthday card...
 Lisa

This is Standing Birthday Buddy (S217).  This image makes for such a cute birthday card for anyone celebrating their special day!

I started by colouring the image with Tombow Markers and water. After the image was all coloured and dry, I applied some Glossy Accents to the balloon.  I love the finished look, using this technique.

The pattern papers are from My Mind's Eye-Charm 6x6 Paper Pad, along with some white cardstock.  The image was cut down to a smaller size to better fit this card.  Foam tape was applied to raise the main image, to add a bit of dimension.  To complete this card, a few YNS-Black Gumdrops were added to the right of the image.

Supplies Used:
Ink - Tombow Markers - N15, 723, 243, 373, 025, 055, 533, 555, 905, 885, N95 and N79.  Versamark Ink Pad and Black Embossing Powder.

Paper - My Mind's Eye - Charm 6x6 Paper Pad and SU White Cardstock.

Cute Birdy - Treat Bag

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!
Come join our monthly challenge...and you could be the next winner of two High Hopes Stamps of your choice.  The details for the January Challenge - "Anything Goes" can be found here

For today's post, I thought I would make something a little different, yet keeping with a birthday theme..
 Jane

Side view of the treat bag

This is Cute Birdy (F250) and Bird Told Me (F251) sentiment.  I think this Birdy is just sooo adorable and works well for so many different projects!

I started by colouring the image with Tombow Markers and water. After the image was all coloured and dry, I applied some Glossy Accents to Birdy's beak.

The main image was fussy cut out.  A YNS die called Scalloped Topped Treat Bag was used to create the small bag using SU Pacific Point Cardstock.  The designer paper is from Doodlebug-Springtime 6x6 paper pad.  For the sentiment, it was stamped with a versamark ink pad then heat embossed using black embossing powder on SU Apricot Appeal cardstock.  To complete this project, Doodlebug twine was tied in a bow around the top of the flap, and a small piece of Hook and Loop tab (a thin velcro, adhesive-backed tab) was placed under the flap, to easily open and close the treat bag.

Burt & Doris Anniversary

Wow! I can't believe it's the last week of January already! Spring will be here before we know it - yay!

This week I challenged myself to make horizontal cards. I usually make vertical cards so I wanted to try something a little different.

This week's inspiration features Burt & Doris (T909), an older stamp from High Hopes and Happy Anniversary (F120) for my sentiment.

                                                      Donna

I started by colouring my stamp with alcohol markers and then fussy cut it. This time I left a bit of white edge around it. I didn't have quite the right off white background paper I needed so I inked up a background words stamp. Then I cut out my heart diamond fold shape and added some pink cardstock in the background. I cut and matted my patterned paper from Simple Stories, added my heart border and then Burt & Doris - mounted with pop dots.  I added some glitter to Doris' earrings and necklace and Blueberry gumdrops finish off my card.

Feathered Friends Valentine

Howdy - MichelleO here today and for today's post I decided to make a little valentines day card. The Heart day is coming close you know. Big day around our house, it is also Hubby's birthday and our anniversary so I just LOVE making Valentines.

I pulled out a couple of Feathered Friends for this card -

Colored with my Copics and then went back with the blender pen and faded out the night sky a bit. Like the texture look it gives to the marker coloring. The papers are from First Editions Bella Rose collection and I think they are perfect for any valentine card! I sewed down the layers on red card stock as mats and then layered everything on a white card stock base. The sentiment is also High Hopes stamps - "Be My Valentine!"  Layered on a white satin polka dot ribbon then I added a Martha Stewart Heart punch in red card stock. Simple but sweet I think.

Inside more of the same papers.

Welcome Little One

Tuesday is my day to post on the High Hopes Blog and today I decided to use some older stamps to create some baby cards for my stash.

This image is so quick and easy to color.
It's called Baby Sittin'.

I had some scrap polka-dot paper in my stash.  Not sure who made it but nearly every paper manufacturer has polka dot paper!

The sentiment is Welcome Little One Script.

I used Spellbinders Classic Circle and Classic Scallop circle dies.
The images were all colored with my Tombow USA colored pencils.

The bottle image is Baby Bottle.  I cut it out and adhered it to the card with a pop dot.

These were pretty quick and simple cards but I know that whoever receives them will love them!

I hope you enjoyed the inspiration.

You can find these and lots more adorable images at High Hopes.

Thanks for stopping by!

Feel Better Soon!

Howdy HH Fans!
I was running low on Get Well cards so I thought it's the perfect time to get out High Hopes Stamps image called Valerie Nurse Angel.
I am using paper from my stash again! It's one of my goals (not resolutions LOL) for the New Year.  I cut out my image using a MFT Zigzag Oval die and layered a Spellbinder Lacey circle behind it. I layered the middle strip of Designer paper with a border punch strip on both sides. A bit of ribbon and some Stickles on Valerie's wings finish off my card.
On the inside I'm using the High Hopes sentiment called "Better Quickly" and the super cute "Bandaid".
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E11, R20
Hair: Y11, Y21, E53
Bear: E42, E43, E44, E47, E49
Dress: C1
Wings: B000
Bandaid: E95, E97
Reds: R35, R37
I actually made 3 of these cards for my "stock pile". I did the bear's fur different on each image. I used dots on one and squiggles on the other. Not sure which of the 3 images I like the best.

Thanks for stoping by today!

Days Like This

Happy Thursday High Hopes Fans!

I giggled right out loud when I saw this stamp for the first time. We all have "those" days once and awhile don't we? Well, our little frog friend here seems to be having one!

Our little frog friend is an older High Hopes stamp called Frog In Boxers 2 and he can be found here.

I started by colouring my image with alcohol markers, and fussy cutting him out. I added some sliver gel pen to his boxer buttons. He is mounted on a sky background with some clouds added for fun. I added a couple of clothing labels and a mini clothespin that I took apart so it isn't so bulky.

Stamps: Frog In Boxers 2 (Q126) - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Days Like This (F214) - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Patterned Paper: Cool Summer - Carta Bella, stash
Dies: Head In The Clouds - Des'ire
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black (ink pad and pen)
Clothing labels - my clothes
Mini Clothes Pins - Dollar store
General's Chalk Pencil
Silver Gel Pen

Getting Spruced Up Layout - Lacey

Hello High Hopes Fans!!

If you are looking for the Monthly Challenge, you can find it here.
******
Lacey
Today I'm sharing another Christmas scrapbook layout.
This one is from 2003 when my now 13 year old was only 15 months old (my how time flies).
I used Getting Spruced Up S241 for this layout.
I kept it simple so that it fits nice and flat in a scrapbook.
I used some die cuts to cut out the title from glitter card stock, a Star punch and spruce die, and ric rac ribbon to finish it off.

The image was embossed in black onto watercolor paper and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os and a few Copics...

Thanks for stopping by!!
Happy stamping!!

Birthday Belle

Howdy - MichelleO here today and I need you to help me keep a secret here ok? This card is for my Mom's birthday tomorrow... hope it doesn't spoil the surprise for her it is mailed but she hasn't got it yet.

This is "Birthday Belle" from High Hopes. Love this lady and all her birthday candles.

I colored with my Copics, then added Rangers stickles to the candles and dimensional glaze to the balloons. Then I found papers from Kaisercraft Bonjour paper collection. Lots of layers and added a Martha Stewart heart border on the band of butterflies. I sewed down the layers on mats of brown card stock.

The sentiment is also from High Hopes  and love how funny it is. "Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional!"

Close up of the stickles and dimentional glaze.

Copic colors used -

Was a fun card to put together! Just love all the Senior images over at High Hopes. You can see them all HERE.

Hope Mom likes it!

Cool Maurice!

I'm back!! It's Nat here again with Maurice. Yep that's this cool Moose' name :)
Maurice is back on the road or should I say this Moose is on the loose!

The image is coloured with Copics.  Layers of orange card stock and Harley Davidson  pattern paper. The metal embellishment is from an old  leather belt  :)
I used the stitched ribbon as it reminds me of leather stitching and also added brads and window screen for an industrial look.
I made this card for a good friend to give to her one of her friends that loves motorcycles. So, I glammed it up a bit with floral details.
Thanks for peeking! Have a great day!

Here's the Scoop!

Time for my weekly High Hopes Post!

Today I have an oldie but goodie to share with you.

This image is Ice Cream for Two from High Hopes Stamps.  The sentiment is Here's the scoop!

I created a center step card using the Sizzix Kind Sentiments Step up card die.
I love this die because it creates a center step card base out of an A2 card.

I colored the image with Tombow Recycled Colored Pencils.

The patterned paper is from an older pad of Echo Park Summer Days paper.
I used Spellbinders Classic Circle and Classic Scallop Circle dies.

The ribbon is May Arts.
And the fun sentiment is Here's the scoop!

Hope you enjoyed my card to day.

I know all the new releases are adorable and so exciting but if you haven't checked out some of the older images in the High Hopes store, you should because they are classic!

And...right now all the stamps are 30% off and....free shipping on orders over $50 within Canada & the US!

Happy Stamping!

Kristine

Adorable Patty!

Hi High Hopes Fans!
Today is Tuesday so that means it's time to show you something I made using stamps from High Hopes Stamps! I am using the adorable Patty's Posies image.
Patty reminds me so much of my Daughter when she was this age! My Daughter had beautiful blond hair just like Patty and loved to ride her trike outside and in the house as well! I am using paper from the Taylored Expressions Hello Happiness 6x6 collection. I inked all the paper edges with Distress ink in Vintage Photo and added some Doodlebug twine.
I used the High Hopes sentiment called Springtime Joy Script.

Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E11, R20
Hair: Y11, Y21, E53
Overalls: R81, R83, R85
Shirt: R85, R89
Bike: BG11, BG32, T4, W3, W5, W7
Bag: E11, E13, E17
