Stork with Baby Dragon

Hello High Hopes Fans

It's an AWESOME Saturday here, and time to share another one of my High Hopes Stamp cards for this week!!!
Lisa

This is Stork with Baby Dragon (S223) and Welcome Little One Script (F239) sentiment.  Such an adorable stamp - I think it makes for a great baby card!

I started by stamping the image and sentiment with a Versamark Ink Pad and sprinkling some Black Embossing Powder on and heating it.  The Tombow Markers I used to colour the image were:  925, N35, N75, 850, N95, 990, 985, 192, 723, and 800.  Once the image was all coloured and dry, I proceeded to die cut the oval shape using a Spellbinders Die called Petite Ovals.  The larger Petite Ovals die was used with Grey Cardstock to cut a slightly larger oval for layering the image. Foam tape was applied to pop out the layered image and sentiment for some added dimension on this card.  The designer paper is from Echo Park-Bundle of Joy 6x6 Paper Pad, along with some SU Grey, Pink and White cardstock.  The Heart Banner die is from La-La Land.  It was used with Grey and Pink Cardstock. To complete this card, a Viva Décor - Black Pearl Pen was also used to add a couple of bunches of dots around the oval cut image.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Wade

Hello High Hopes Fans

It's finally Friday and I am excited to share another card I recently made, using a cute High Hopes Stamp!
Jane

This is Wade (S132).  Awwwe...isn't he sooo adorable?!?!?!? I definitely think so!!!

I coloured Wade with Tombow Markers and water. After the image was all coloured and dry, I added some Glossy Accents to the ducky tube, Wade's horns, water wings, and flippers.  This image was cut using a Spellbinders die called Classic Scallop Rectangle.  Liquid Pearls was applied around the edge of the die cut, to create a bit of a border.  The designer paper is from Carta Bella - Ahoy There, along with some Red and White Cardstock.  Red Taffeta ribbon was used to divide the different designer papers.  Foam tape was used under the image to add some dimension.  A few red and sparkly Doodlebug Sprinkles were applied to the top right corner of the card to complete this card design.

Supplies Used:

Ink - Tombow Markers - 856, 847, 098, 990, 925, 491, 055, and 528.  Versamark Ink Pad, Black Embossing Powder.

Surfer Dude Dudley - Lacey

Hello High Hopes Fans!!

It's Lacey here today and I'm sharing a card I made for one of our friend's 8th birthday.
She just learned how to surf so I knew I wanted to use one of the surfing images from High Hopes.
Since they are all "boy" images, I chose to make Dudley a Dudette by adding a glitter bow.

I made a Zig Zag Card (Center Step Card). It's so easy to make and really makes an input.
High Hopes Designer Kristine made this tutorial awhile go.

The image was embossed in black onto watercolor paper and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os:

H2Os used:
Olive Vine, Sweet Alfala, Azure, Playful Peony, Nutmeg, and Bashful Blue

Happy stamping!

Awesome and Wonderful Leon!

Happy Colours :) That's what I love about this design, Its just happy!! I can think of a few other sentiments that could be used with this image.... "Relax" or "Hang in there" but I liked "Awesome and wonderful"  and think it works too.  this sentiment is part of High Hopes Sentiment set 3 which can be found here!
This sweet Geico Leon can be found over at High Hopes Stamps. He's coloured with Copics along with some added stippling for a  bit of texture.
Thanks for peeking! Have a fabby, crafty day :)

Red Hat Ladies - Friends Are We!

Howdy -

MichelleO here and this week I was going through my High Hopes Stamps and these two sweet ladies looked like they wanted to come out and be inked and used!

Now their name is "Red Hat Ladies", but they don't dress in red in purple every day. There is no rule that they can't wear other colors. So I went with pink/green/and tan.

All the color choices came from the colors in the Authentique paper pad collection Legacy. Love the vintage feel and that gave me great colors to use on the ladies. I colored with my Copics (colors below).  Now I love sewing on my cards, and do it on most all my cards. But these two seemed to need something different. It has been a while since I used a blanket stitch on my cards. I love it! But wow... lol, takes a while and lots of sewing. Thank goodness for my trusty machine. I used the sentiment "Friends are We..." Now this sentiment is much longer - Friends are we... just you and me!. I love to stamp it out and block out the last half and just use to the first three words on the front. Then stamp it again blocking out the first section and using the back portion "just you and me." on the inside. A little more drama... like a commercial break before you open the card.

I also added some punched leaves and mulberry flowers to the front. My flowers weren't near dark enough so I used my Copics and gave them a little deeper coloring.

Copic colors used -

Love making cards for girlfriends - and  "Red Hat Ladies" is too fun to work with.

Hangin' With You!

Hello High Hopes Fans!

I have another older stamp image to share with you today.

This is Toucan Twosome!
The sentiment is Hangin with You.

I went with a bright, tropical palette for this card.
The patterned paper is from Doodlebug Design Inc Flower Box 6 x 6 paper pad.

I colored the image with Copic Markers.
(C9-C7-C5-C3-C1-E57-E55-E53-Y15-Y02-Y-OR00-OR04-OR02-BG00-BG02-YG21-YG23-YG25)
I used the "out of the box" technique, which is where you cut a shape (in this case on oval) that is smaller than the image and leave some of the image like the branch and leaves "outside" the shape.

I hope you enjoyed today's card!

Rainy Day Ducky

Hello High Hopes Fans

Saturday has arrived, and it's time to showcase another one of my High Hopes Stamp cards for this week!!!
Lisa

This is Rainy Day Ducky (R142) and Raggedy's Birthday Sentiment.  Such an adorable stamp - I think Ducky is just soooo stinkin' cute!

I started by stamping Ducky with Black Memento Ink.  The Copic markers I used to colour this image were:  0, C2, C3, R37, RV02, RV25, B21, B37, Y06, Y08, YR68, BG11, BG32, BG45, and BG49.  Once the image was all coloured, I applied some Glossy Accents to Ducky's beak for some shine.  Once I cut down the image to the appropriate size for my card, I then layered it with navy blue cardstock.  "Happy Birthday" was stamped on to a small piece of leftover white cardstock for my sentiment.  What an awesome way to use up scraps!  Spellbinders - Circle, Large and Small dies were used to cut and layer the sentiment.  Foam tape was applied to pop out the layered image and sentiment for some added dimension on this card.  The designer paper is from Crate Paper - Poolside 6x6 Paper Pad, along with some SU Night of Navy & White cardstock.  Two strips of SU Night of Navy grosgrain ribbon was added under the main image. To complete this card, a Viva Décor - Blue Pearl Pen was also used to add several dots in the corners.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Burt's Bath

Hello High Hopes Fans

TGIF!!!  The weekend is almost here and I am thrilled to share with you another card I recently made, using some adorable High Hopes Stamps!
Jane

Inside of Card

This is Burt's Bath (R103), It's Your Day (G036), part of sentiment from Swinging Birthday (H191) and Chilax Sentiment.  These stamps are so fun to use!!!

I coloured Burt with Tombow Markers and water. After the image was all coloured and dry, I added some Glossy Accents to the all the bubbles in the bath, along with some yellow stickles to the centres of the flowers on Burt's shower cap.  Some navy blue ink was sponged lightly around the edges of the image, after it was die cut using a Spellbinders - circle die.  A piece of navy cardstock was die cut using the Spellbinders - Petite Scalloped Circle Die to layer the image.  The sentiment on the outside of the card was heat embossed with navy blue embossing powder. I used a 3/4" & 1" circle punch to punch out the bubbles(circle) for each word.  Each of the 3 circles were then placed in a Tim Holtz - Bubbles Embossing Folder to add some texture.  A white gel pen was applied to accent the bubble like circles, to help create more depth on the card.  Foam tape was used to adhere the sentiment and add some dimension.

For the inside of the card, the sentiment was heat embossed using white embossing powder, on navy cardstock.  It was then cut out with a 1 1/4" circle punch.  Two additional navy blue circles were punched using a 3/4" and 1" circle punch.  The white gel pen was again used to add some accents on all of the bubbles.  Glue Dots were used to adhere the bubbles on the inside of this card, in order for the card to remain flat and to be able to close it completely.  The additional " Happy Birthday" sentiment - which is only part of the Swinging Birthday stamp was inked and stamped with navy ink.

Supplies Used:

Ink - Tombow Markers - N60, 491, 055, 025, 985, 933, 977, N55, 533, and 535. Versamark Ink Pad, Black Embossing PowderWhite Embossing Powder, Navy Embossing Powder, and Navy Blue Ink Pad for lightly sponging edges of image and inside sentiment.

Misc - Glossy Accents, Yellow Stickles, Spellbinders - Circle & Petite Scalloped Circle Dies, 3/4" - 1" - 1 1/4" circle punches, Signo-White Gel Pen, Tim Holtz - Bubbles Embossing Folder (for sentiment), Sponge DaubersWater BrushFoam Tape, and Glue Dots.

Purrr-ty Great Day

                                        Hello High Hopes Fans!

I used to have a cat named Smokey who absolutely LOVED popcorn for a treat - I always took the kernel part off first. I couldn't sit there eating some for long before he was on the back of the love seat batting at my hand because he wanted some.

Popcorn Kitty (can be found here) brought back some fun happy memories for me for sure. Smokey would have loved to be immersed in his own bowl of popcorn!

                                                        Donna

I coloured Popcorn Kitty with alcohol markers and then mounted him on a green cardstock "frame". I used the heart paper to cut out my scalloped edge for the base, added my checkered paper and a stitched scallop border. I also added a piece of checkered paper to the inside edge and inked all the edges.  I used some yellow twine to finish off my card.

Spectrum Noir List
Popcorn/Cup: EB1 EB2
Bow and Heart: GB1 GB4 GB7
Cat: BG2 BG3 BG5
Nose/Mouth/Hearts: PP1 PP3 PP5
Tablecloth/Cup Rim: DG1 DG2 DG4

Old School Golfer

I love this old school golfer! I dressed him up in a fun plaid shirt and socks to match!
The plaid shirt is created with a Multiliner and Copic markers!
I decided to try some black stitches for more of a masculine look to this design! The heart is die cut from hubby's old boot and the flags reminded me of relaxing afternoons on  the golf course.
Happy Wednesday and thanks for peeking!

Happy Fall Y'all!

Howdy - MichelleO here and I decided to start coloring in the Fall season! Maybe that will cool things off and bring in the Fall colors. So High Hopes Stamps Pumpkin Patch stamp was a great start.

Colored with my Copics (colors below) and then found papers from My Minds Eye Lost and Found Rosy collection.

Layered the papers and added some zig zag stitching. Added the sentiment "Happy Fall Y'all!"  Added three buttons for embellishments. The dark orange and black seemed to work together for a Fall card.

Inside more of the same papers -

And the Copics used -

School is starting up here, so maybe Fall is really coming soon.

Online Olive

Hot Flashes??
Today's card show cases  "Online Olive". I absolutely love this sentiment called "Hot Flashes". After all they aren't hot flashes they are power surges! LOL!! I love how the computer monitor and tower are "surging"! I can totally relate with Olive and she makes such a cute card to send to your friends!

This is one of my favourite layouts to do with the rectangles on a tilt. I used papers from the Jellybean Soup Summer Red Raspberry Soup 6x6 collection. I dug through my big jar of buttons and found these 3 to add as embellishments. A little bit of twine add to them finished them off perfectly!

Tommy's Fall Fun

Hello High Hopes Fans

Saturday is finally here and before you know it, Fall will be too!  Yikes!!!  Here is another one of my cards to share with you!
Lisa

This is Tommy's Fall Fun (S079) and sentiment from Sentiment Set #3.  Such an adorable stamp - I just love the fall colours!

This is my second attempt using Tombow markers and water.  I really enjoyed using them on my last card!  So don't be afraid to try new techniques on your cards!

I started by applying Versamark Ink on my stamp, stamped it, then sprinkled Black Embossing Powder on, and heated it.  The colours of Tombow Markers I used on Tommy and the leaves were:  969, N60, 491, 925, 098, 837, 985, 977, 942, 761, 850, and 847.  Once the image was all coloured and dry, some SU Chocolate Chip ink was lightly sponged around the edges of the image.  Glossy Accents was applied to the leaves to make the card a little sparkly and shiny.  Four additional leaves were stamped and coloured, then fussy cut out to be glued around the image.  Foam tape was applied to pop out the layered image for some added dimension on this card.  Spellbinders - Petite Oval Large and Small dies were used to cut the sentiment.  The designer paper is from Carta Bella - Fall Blessings 6x6 Paper Pad, along with some SU Chocolate Chip & White cardstock.  A SU Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon was also added under the main image to complete this card.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!
