It is Tuesday Tutorial Time!!
The wonderful Aaemie has created a fun Gift Box Tutorial for you.
And here she is...

Hi everyone! Christmas is fast approaching so I thought a gift box would be a perfect tutorial. A nice little handmade gift can sometimes
be more special than a purchased gift, especially when filled with
chocolate treats. Have fun and enjoy!

-Start off with a 5″x 12″ thick double sided pattern paper(I used
paper from Authentique’s Peaceful collection)
-Score at 1″, 4″ (on the 5″ side)
-Turn paper and score at 1″, 5″, 6.5″, 10.5″ (on the 12" side)

(click on photos for larger view)

-Refer to the template and make cuts, tabs & folds at marked
areas.(This is by far the most complex part so take time here.)
-The sides of the top of the box will only have a 0.5 cm lip to create
the peek-a-boo effect.

-I used a spellbinders insert and edge dies to create the 2, 4 inch
long decorative edges with coordinating cardstock. (You can also use a
border punch.)

-Use adhesive on the top of the edge and place on ribbon, trim and
attach to the side of the box with scorepal tape. Repeat for the
other side.

-I used a spellbinders damask accents die to embellish the front lip
on the box, added a button and two small brads.(You may just add a
button)

Outside of Box
-I decorated the top of the box with flowers(using a fast drying
glue), rhinestones, a decorative brad and pearl pen. Then I used a
corner rounder and rounded the front lip on the box.

Inside of Box
-I coloured, fussy cut and placed my image and sentiment, which were
raised with foam squares. Finally fill your beautiful box with some
sweet treats!

I used the new Waddlin' By on the inside.

We hope you like our tutorial!!
