Guard Duty Rudy!

Are you stuffed?
So are you full to the brim? It was Thanksgiving this past weekend for us Canadians and we spent it up at the cottage doing nothing but eating LOL. I'm stuffed and probably don't have to eat all week now! For my post today I am sharing with you two cards using the adorable High Hopes Stamp called "Guard Duty Rudy".
I chose papers from the new Echo Park The Story of Fall 6x6 collection! The papers in this collection are beautiful, I almost wanted to hoard them rather than use them (LOL). I inked all the edges of my paper with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo.

Snowman Sled Ride

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend to my Canadian friends!  I sure hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful and safe holiday!!!

For today's post, I am already looking forward to the next holiday...Christmas will be here before we know it...

This is Snowman Sled Ride (SS010).  This was a super fun image to colour...

I coloured the image with Tombow Markers and water. After the image was all coloured and dry, I added some Glossy Accents to the snowman's mittens and nose.  It is a bit difficult to see this in the picture, but it does look quite shiny!  The designer paper is from Teresa Collins-Candy Cane Lane 6x6 Paper Pad, along with some Red and White Cardstock.  Silver Mirra Cardstock was also used behind the main image.  Foam tape was used to attach the image, in order to add some dimension to this card.  A metal charm was applied to the bottom left corner of the image, to complete this card design.
Supplies Used:
Ink - Tombow Markers - N15, N35, N55, N75, N95, 245, 837, and 905.  Versamark Ink Pad, Black Embossing Powder.
Paper - Teresa Collins-Candy Cane Lane 6x6 Paper Pad; SU Red and White Cardstock; and Silver Mirra Cardstock.
Misc - Glossy Accents, Making Memories - Metal Charm, Water BrushFoam Tape, and Glue Dots.

Polar Hug

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!
Come join our monthly challenge...and you could be the next winner of two High Hopes Stamps of your choice.  The details for the October Challenge can be found here.  We look forward to seeing all of your creations, so don't delay!
Here's a holiday card I would like to share with you today.  It's never too soon to start making your Christmas cards!

This is Polar Hug (SS001) and From All of Us Sentiment (HH004). This image is sooo adorable!!!
I started by colouring the image with Tombow Markers and water. After the image was all coloured and dry, I added some Glossy Accents to the Polar Bear's nose and Penguin's beak and feet.  Diamond Stickles was applied on the fur of the Penguin's hat and pompom.  The image was then fussy cut out.  The sentiment was done with a technique that is fairly new to me.  This was my second attempt at experimenting with it.  First, I stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of paper and photocopied it onto white cardstock using my office laser printer. Then I ran the photocopied cardstock through my "antique" office laminator using Heidi Swapp's - minc gold reactive foil (shiny side up).  I just love the finished look of this technique; however, it is rather difficult to get a good photograph when using the reactive foil.  The shine of the foil looks amazing when the card is tilted!
The pattern paper is from Bo Bunny-Sleigh Ride 6x6 Paper Pad, along with some Kraft and White Cardstock.  Gold Mirra Cardstock was used to layer the sentiment.  The "happy holiday" ribbon is from May Arts, along with a couple of gold tree brads that were added to it.  Foam tape was used under the image to add some dimension.  To complete this card, a few gold coloured rhinestones were applied on the left side of the card, and three just below the sentiment.
Supplies Used:
Ink - Tombow Markers - N79, N15, N35, 925, 985, 942, and 977.  Versamark Ink Pad and  Black Embossing Powder.
Paper - Bo Bunny-Sleigh Ride 6x6 Paper Pad, Gold Mirra Cardstock, and SU Kraft and White Cardstock.
Misc - Glossy AccentsDiamond Stickles, May Arts-Ribbon, Heidi Swapp- Minc Gold Reactive Foil, Laser Printer, Laminator, 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" circle punches, Gold Tree Brads, Gold Rhinestones, Water BrushFoam Tape, and Glue Dots.
