Bob Loves Grass

Hi everyone!

Don't know about you but here in Ontario we've had lots of rain and so our grass is long and green! Thankfully "Bob Loves Grass" is here to help keep things under control! I've never seen someone so happy to cut the grass! Bob!!!! Come to my house and cut my grass! Isn't this image just the cutest!
I decided to use papers from the Echo Park Happy Camper 6x6 Designer paper pad. After I colored Bob, I fussy cut him out and popped him up with foam squares. The sentiment circle is from the new Sentiment #3 set. I popped it up as well, added some twine and enamel dots for a finished card.
I decided to use the HH Happy Birthday sentiment inside. I stamped it with Embossing Ink and used some Zig Teal Metallic embossing powder. I added some grass on the bottom using the MFT Fresh grass die and a border from some of my scraps using the MFT Small Monarch border die.

paper with Vintage Photo and Tea Dye distress inks from Rangers.
The sentiment on the box is from my stash. I also used distress inks around the box.
On the belly-band I used my tracing wheel in both sides.

Bob Loves His Motorcycle

Hello High Hopes Fans

Here is another card I made, using stamps from the New Release - All About Boys!
This is Bob Loves His Motorcycle (S526), along with the sentiment from Sentiment Set #4 (U507). These are such awesome stamps!!!
I coloured Bob and his motorcycle with Copic Markers (C1, C3, C5, W5, W7, W9, E01, E31, E49, E77, Y38, YR68, B37, and B99).  I used a MFT die set called In & Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle.  I just love these dies as they are so universal!  I used the the die set twice, once on the white cardstock for my image and then on orange cardstock to layer the image.  Foam tape was applied to pop out both the sentiment and the image separately. For the sentiment, I used two different sizes of oval punches I had in my stash. For a little added touch, I applied some Glossy Accents on the headlight of the motorcycle, after it was coloured to make it shine.  Four pewter brads were also added to the card, in each corner of the image.  The background paper is from Carta Bella - Boy Oh Boy 6x6 Paper Pad, along with some orange and white cardstock.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Bob Loves Grass

Hello High Hopes Fans

I am happy to share another one of my cards, using one of the stamps and sentiment from the new release--All About Boys!

This is Bob Loves Grass (T518), and sentiment from Sentiment Set #3 (U506).  This stamp makes me chuckle!!!  I think Bob needs a haybine to cut his lawn, following all the recent rains in Southern Ontario! Poor Bob - LOL!!!

I coloured Bob with Tombow Markers and water. After the image was all coloured and dry, I began fussy cutting the entire image.  Using some grass designer paper, I punched some grass out using a Martha Stewart edger punch a couple of times, then trimmed it to size for my uncut part of the lawn. (I had to trim down the part of lawn that Bob had already done!)  The sentiment was embossed with black embossing powder on vellum paper and die cut using a cloud die.  A white piece of cardstock was also die cut with the same cloud die to place under the vellum cloud.  I used a silver Sakura pen to outline the white cardstock cloud to resemble the cloud designer paper used.  While I had my dies out, I figured a fence would make for a nice background in Bob's yard too.  The sentiment was placed on the card with foam tape, along with the top part of the coloured image.  The bottom half of the image just received glue.  This seemed to add a neat effect with dimension to this card.  To complete this design, a few YNS Gumdrops were added to the top corners of the card, as well as, some Glossy Accents were added to Bob's sunglasses.

Supplies Used:
Ink - Tombow Markers -942, 850, 800, N35, N55, N75, 977, 847, 856, 533, 535 and 126. Versamark Ink Pad, Black Embossing PowderMetallic Silver Sakura pen.
PaperDoodlebug-Sunkissed 6x6 Paper Pad (Grass), My Mind's Eye-Charm 6x6 Paper Pad (Clouds), Vellum, Grey and White Cardstock.
Misc - Magnolia Doohickeys-Lovely Fence Die, Impression Obsession-Cloud Die, Martha Stewart - Grass Edger Punch, YNS Gumdrops - Blue RaspberryGlossy Accents, Water Brush, Foam Tape, Glue Dots, Vellum Tape.

The Perfect Wave

Happy Thursday High Hopes fans! I can't believe it is July already! I hope you all had a enjoyed Canada Day and I wish all of our US friends a Happy 4th of July!

Today I am sharing a card featuring Gabriel Loves Surfing (T516) along with a sentiment from Sentiment Set #4 (U507).

I coloured the sunset using alcohol markers and added some wave patterned paper. Gabriel is fussy cut and mounted on an action wobbler spring I bought at One Crazy Stamper so he moves and wiggles - so fun! I added an octopus clothespin to help hold my sentiment and added a pop dot to hold it up. A few YNS gumdrops finished off my card.

Here is a side view so you can see the action wobbler spring.
