Buddy Bear Camping - Lisa

Hello High Hopes Fans

Did you see the new challenge?
The April Challenge can be found here.
It runs through 7pm EST Thursday, April 30th.

This adorable image is a newly released High Hopes stamp called - Buddy Bear Camping (S514).  I coloured it with Copic markers (C1, E31, E33, E57, E59, BG02, BG05, Y06, V04, V06, YR14, YR02, YR15, YR04, YG61, YG63, and 100).  The die cut is from Spellbinders-Deckled Edge Classic Ovals Large.  The designer paper is from Doodlebug - Happer Camper 6x6 Paper Pad, along with some Chocolate Brown and White Cardstock.  Brown ink was lightly sponged around the oval die cut. Some YNS Gumdrops-Glitter Black Licorice were also added around the oval die. I used a white Uni-ball gel pen, to add some eyeballs on this bear.  Glossy Accents were added to the bear's nose, along with Wink of Stella - glitter yellow, on the flashlight bulb.  The sentiment was one I had in my stash, which was embossed, layered, then pop-dotted, to give the card a bit of dimension.

Have a great weekend!

Classy Clydesdale - Jane

Hello High Hopes Fans

For today's card, I am delighted to show off a new release stamp called Classy Clydesdale (T506).  I was inspired by a fellow Design Team member - Donna R.!!! I was uncertain on what colours to use to colour the horse, but after seeing a picture of Donna and her horse, I was away to the races!!! This was a very fun card to colour and assemble. I decided to take a few pictures, just to show the card from different angles and when the bi-fold part of the card is opened.

The image was coloured with Tombow Markers and water. I created a bi-fold card at first, then cut part of both flaps off to create a couple of gates.  I chose a couple of different designer papers, both having a barn board look to them.  A brown ink pad was used on the edges to give the barn boards more of a distressed or weathered look (on the light brown barn board paper).  In order to close the card (gates on the card), I punched a piece of black cardstock using a window punch from SU (and cut it down a bit too).  Two small screw brads on each end of the handle, and a piece of Velcro (Tombow-Fastener Tabs) was also used to close the gates of the card.  For an added touch, I punched 3 small horseshoes from a really old punch I had in my stash.  A little Wink of Stella-glitter brown sparkle was then added on those horseshoes.  I also used black - Flower Soft on the horse's tail, top of his head and main, so he feels quite soft! Some Frosted Lace Stickles was put on around the neck of the horse...you can never have too much glitter!!!! lol!

Happy Thursday High Hopes Fans!

I hope you have been enjoying the DT posts!

My card today features Hedgy has FlowersI made this a slider card so Hedgy slides from one side of the card to the other.

My god daughter loves hedge hogs so when I saw this stamp I knew I had to have it to make a card for her birthday!

                                                     Donna

I coloured Hedgy with alcohol markers (list below) and then fussy cut it. I created my scene using cardstock and various dies.

My god daughter is turning 17 but still has a bit of "little girl" in her ... don't we all? <wink> I hope she enjoys it.

Wednesday April 15th, Orian and Whisky - Natalie

Hello, I hope your week has been going well, Natalie here to share with you a card created with the new Orian and Whisky stamp from High Hopes.  This little sweetie is delivering flowers to someone special! :)

I decided to create more of a masculine card by using  Kraft paper,  muted tones and a simple design. The sewing stitches and added gems help create a continuous flow around the card.

Coloured with Copics.  Markers used
E39,W1,W3,E44,W5,G21,G24,B32,B34,B39,B41,0, BG000, E04,E07, E08, E50, E21, E50, E21, E20 YR20, YR21, YR23, C1,C3,C5

My Pony

MichelleO here and today I am showing off another of the new release images - "My Pony" Such perfect timing for this image for me. A very close friend has had THREE ponies in the last two weeks! How exciting is that?? So I thought this card might be a fun Congrats card for her.

Such a sweet image - I colored with my copics and then found some fun spring papers from Prima's Sun Kiss collection. I sewed down all the layers with straight stitches and with zig zag. I thought every pony needs a little fence so I punched out Martha Stewarts Fence border in white added a yellow and white gingham ribbon and then Martha Stewarts Leaf punches with Mulberry flowers. Brown button centers to finish them off.

The Congrats! sentiment is perfect for this card - you can find it HERE.

Here are the Copic colors used -

Had some fun making this one. Loved the warm sunny feel of the papers. Hope you enjoyed it too. Make sure to pop over to the High Hopes Stamps site and see all the fabulous images you could be having some fun with! They all make you smile... promise!
