Girls Can Play Basketball Too!

It's Tuesday!
I am over on the High Hopes Stamps blog today with my adorable card using the new stamp called "Dribble Master". How awesome is it that High Hopes  has some girl sport themed images?!
Doodlebug has the perfect 6x6 paper pad called Slam dunk that worked perfectly with my basketball themed card! I used my MISTI to cut out the SVG file to stamp the image and for the background mat. This little cutie has Clear Wink of Stella on all the orange coloured clothing. I drew the stitching around the sentiment and finished everything off with a few YNS Gumdrops.
I searched the Internet for "girl basketball sayings" and used what I found on the front and inside of my card! LOVE IT!
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E11, R20
Hair: E31, E33, E35, E37
Oranges: YR14, YR16, YR18
Greys: T0, T1, T3, T4, T5, T7

See you next week!

Blooming Friends!

Carolina here,
Good Morning and welcome High Hopes Fans!
For today's post I have created a beautiful and fun any occasion card! The stamp I'm using for this card is one of the  newest Spring 2016 Collection called "Blooming Friends"from High Hopes Stamps!

I stamped "Blooming Friends" with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured with copic markers. I love to fussy cut my images after I'm done colouring, but you can used the new SVG files and any style Cricut Machine to cut them. To give the shabby look I distressed all edges of the patterned paper with Tim Holtz distress tools, then used a tracing wheel around the edges, white gesso and victorian velvet distress ink from Ranger. I also used texture paste, Victorian Velvet ink and layering stencil (bubble) from Tim Holtz. Copic List: B93 B95 C1 C3 C5 E000 E00 E31 E33 E37 E93 YG11 YG13 V000 W1 W3 W5 and 0

Supplies Used: layering stencil, texture paste, gesso, victorian velvet distress ink, Memento Tuxedo black ink, distress tool, tracing wheel, clear gems, foam tape,Copic markers, white & gold gelly pen,  pattern papers (Fancy That) from MY MIND'S EYE, Spellbinder scalloped dies, S.U Dazzling Linen Thread and S.U White Cardstock.

Miss Katie

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

Happy Saturday Friends! I hope our Canadian fans are enjoying the warmth on this Victoria Day Holiday weekend!  The official start to summer!!!  Whooo hooo!

Today, I am excited to share another one of my cards using some stamps and SVG files from the New Release - Spring 2016 Collection.
 Lisa

This is Miss Katie (TT029), Miss Katie SVG file-point 7 (TT029SVG), Fancy Script Happy Birthday (HH019), and Fancy Script Happy Birthday SVG file-point 7 (HH019SVG).  What a cute image that can be used on a variety of cards or even scrapbook pages!

I started by using my Cricut machine and cut the point 7 size of the SVG Miss Katie file on Xpress It cardstock.  The image was then stamped with a Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad using my Misti Stamping Tool to ensure accuracy for the placement of the image inside the cut out portion of my cardstock. The sentiment was done using the same method as the image. The image was then coloured with Copic Markers.  After the image was all coloured and dry, a Zig-Wink of Stella yellow glitter pen was added to the bow on the little girl's dress and a Zig-Wink of Stella dark pink glitter pen was applied on the girl's hair bow and slippers for some sparkle.

For the card base, I chose some SU Taken with Teal cardstock.  The designer paper is from My Mind's Eye-Dorothy (Now & Then Collection) 6x6 Paper Pad.  No foam tape was used on this card, so it will be fairly flat for mailing purposes.  To complete this card, SU Whisper White Ribbon was added behind the main image, along with some Prima paper flowers with Liquid Pearls-Ballerina dotted in the centres, and on the top left and bottom right corners of the card.

Supplies Used:
InkCopic Markers - BG02, E01, E31, E27, RV14, BG49, E79, BG45 and Y11.  Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad.

Paper - My Mind's Eye-Dorothy (Now & Then Collection) 6x6 Paper Pad; SU Taken with Teal Cardstock; Xpress It Cardstock.

MiscMisti Stamping Tool, Cricut Personal Cutter, Zig-Wing of Stella Yellow Glitter pen, Zig-Wink of Stella Dark Pink Glitter pen, SU Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon, Ranger Liquid Pearls-Ballerina, Prima-Paper Flowers and Glue Dots.

For today's card, here is an adorable image from the New Release - Spring 2016 Collection...
 Jane

This is Soccer Star (TT036) and Soccer Star SVG Files (TT036SVG).  How cute is this image?!?!

To start, I cut the SVG files for the Soccer Star image (using the point 7 file for the stamped image) on watercolour paper. I used a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.  To colour the image, Tombow Markers and water were used.  After the colouring was finished and dry, a Gelly Roll White Gel Pen was used to add some dimples on her cheeks.

For the card base, I decided on a piece of SU Black cardstock.  A 4 1/2" circle was cut for the card with a tiny bit of the fold left at the top, so the card would still open and close. To create the background, I took a piece of plain white cardstock and cut a circle using 4 1/4" in size (circle cutters) . Once the white circular cardstock was cut, I ran the piece through my Cuttlebug machine using an Embossing Folder called Honeycomb.  I flipped over the embossed piece and used a black sharpie marker to fill in the lines and some of the hexagon shapes to resemble an actual soccer ball.  The coloured Soccer Star image was mounted on the SVG cut file (14-layering) using the SU Smoky Slate cardstock, and then foam tape was applied to mount the main image on the card to add some dimension.

To complete this card, a piece of Doodlebug Goal Paper Pad-Soccer Field (grass), was punched using a Martha Stewart grass edger punch. These strips of grass were glued together and foam tape was applied on the back and placed a bit over the little girls feet to make it appear like she is playing on a soccer field.

Twisting The Night Away

Happy Thursday High Hopes Fans! We're one day closer to Fri-YAY, a night when girlfriends often go out to a night club and let their hair down. Personally, I'm usually in my pj's by 9 p.m. but I used to .... honest I did! <giggle>

I tried a new card layout this week using "Shake Your Booty" and "Don't Stop The Music" from the Spring 2016 Collection new release. Since our girls are twisting the night away, my card base is a Twisted Easel.

Close Up

This card was kind of hard to take a full shot of but I hope you get the idea.

I started by cutting out the girls and sentiment with the matching SVG files, both 07 & 14 - one for the stamp and one for the background. I coloured them using SN alcohol markers an added silver Wink of Stella for some bling - we know there has to be bling for a night out right!?!

A screen print provided some music notes which are mounted on paper from Bo Bunny and MME. To complete my idea, I used a clear ball off a piece of jewellery for my Disco light. The girls are popped up on pop dots.

Card Recipe
Stamps: Shake Your Booty (UU001), SVG File  Don't Stop the Music (HH011) SVG files -  High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Patterned Paper: Altitude Collection and Believe - Bo Bunny, MME

Just Married

Howdy - MichelleO here today and for my post and I had some fun with a new great wedding image. This is "Just Married"

This is a really fun wedding image don't you think? I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then added stickles for her veil. My papers are from  Kaisercraft Bonjour collection. I sewed down the layers with pink thread.

Sentiment is also from the new High Hopes release - "Love Blooms Here" Worked out really great to stamp it directly onto a piece of the pattern paper. I added three Martha Stweart Frond leaf punches, and three mulberry roses.

Copic colors used -

Lots of fun with the new release. You can see all of the High Hopes New images HERE.
